I decided to make cookies with the children on Father's Day for hubby. My husband couldn't stop telling me how great they were so I thought I would share them with you.
Surprise your hubby and kids with an Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.
Preheat your oven to 375, so when you finish with the dough you can put them right in.
1 and 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of butter (softened)
1/3 cup of brown sugar (packed)
1/3 cup of white sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of walnuts.
Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl first. Then beat the butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Add your egg to the butter mixture. Gradually mix in flour. Stir in the chips and nuts. Make your cookies as big or as small as you would like. Make sure you use a ungreased baking sheet. Remember to not let your cookies brown too much in the oven because they will continue to cook on the hot tray even when they come out.
